Sticking with last week’s theme of chicken (which turned out really yummy), this week after being sick for almost a week, I am attempting roast chicken in the slow cooker. And then I figure I can make chicken soup out of the bones afterwards, which will be grand for my still somewhat sick soul. So, I am attempting the Whole Chicken in the Crock Pot recipe from Food.com. However, as per usual I made a few additions and substitutions.
Instead of regular paprika I used smoked paprika (so good!)
I added carrots to the onion on the botton and tossed in a little olive oil and sea salt
And added a little olive oil rub on the chicken too (since I can’t seem to cook anything without my favorite ingredient:olive oil)
And the prep only took about 15 minutes total. Not too bad for early morning cooking.
